The introduction to the drip
On the last day of my freshman year of high school, my dad and I had a discussion about changing the way I dressed because he noticed that I would wear the same shirts and pants to school. After watching the interview with Gunna and the conversation with my dad I knew that it was time for a change. That is when my dad introduced me to Ralph Lauren Polo. See my dad was already wearing polo and he didn't feel right wearing designer clothes and me wearing hand me downs. So, during summer break my dad and I made constant trips to the Ralph Lauren Polo store in Smithfield, NC. I remember my first polo shirt was black with a big white pony (The last picture on the right). Ever since then my dad just kept adding more shirts to my polo collection.
Finally the first day of sophomore year came around and I was ready to show everyone my new drip. I will never forget the outfit I wore on the first day, I wore my blue blackwatch collar polo shirt (The last picture on the right), blue jeans, black shades, and the Kyrie 2 Independence Day As soon as I walked in all eyes were on me, I started to feel like 2pac. All the girls were checking me out because they couldn't believe that it was me. Ever since that day I started to wear Ralph Lauren Polo jackets and Ralph Lauren Polo collar shirts every single day until I graduated from high school in 2020. I noticed with me wearing polo everyday I not only gain confidence, but guys and girls at my school started to wear polo.
It felt good when I started dressing how I wanted to dress. To be honest, I never thought that it would be a time in my life were I would have kids at my school trying to dress like me. So, you can say the same way that Gunna influenced me, I influenced the kids at my school in a way.
